Kevin Sheehan has had a distinguished career as an author, producer,
and award-winning entrepreneur. For twenty years, he has produced
recordings, films, books, software, and retail environments that
have helped change the way people manage and view culture, and the
way they shape and share inspiration.
He is the founder of Hear Music, now Starbucks Hear Music ("The
Sound of Starbucks"). Widely heralded for its important innovations,
the company has played a unique role in redefining music retail
for almost two decades. Elle magazine likened a visit to the original
store to "dying and going to music heaven." National Public Radio
wondered how the experience did not exist before 1992.
Sheehan has had the good fortune to work with a variety of creative
partners, including the internationally acclaimed dance troupe La
La Human Steps of Montreal, Canada, and the Haley House Men's Shelter
of Boston, Massachusetts, which has developed an innovative bakery
and café to train and re-employ people who have fallen on hard times.
Sheehan is currently active in real estate and publishing in Massachusetts,
and serves as a consultant to several nonprofit organizations.
